Ford Performance division has prepared a package of improvements for the updated Focus ST hot hatch. According to the company, the Track Pack is designed for true driving enthusiasts. It was tested on the famous Nürburgring race track and is already available for order. Speed lovers will be able to test it in November.
The program of improvements includes a set of glossy black decor and a number of technical changes that will turn the «hot» hatchback into a real sports car. Visually, the Ford Focus ST Track Pack can be identified by the black gloss painted grille, side view mirror housings, front bumper elements, roof, spoiler and rear diffuser. To this can be added a lowered ground clearance by 10 mm. Although it is quite difficult to visually notice such an insignificant difference from the stock car.
The list of technical differences includes KW Automotive screw struts with 12 compression settings and 16 rebound settings. The package also includes new springs that are 50% stiffer than the previous ones, and 19-inch alloy wheels with Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires are 10% lighter. The front brake discs with 4-piston Brembo calipers have been enlarged by 10%.
Under the hood, no changes are expected. The standard 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol EcoBoost engine still produces 280 hp. The transmission is a six-speed manual.
