On the eve of the opening of the Paris Auto Show, the new Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV was presented. The rival of the BMW iX, Tesla Model Y and Polestar 3 will go into production at a plant in the U.S. starting in December and will be sold for about $80,000. Details of the electric crossover have been revealed on the official Mercedes-Benz website.
The electric Mercedes EQE SUV looks a lot like its big brother, the EQS SUV. It has the same silhouette with an arch-shaped roof and its appearance is dominated by flowing forms. Instead of the grille – a plastic insert with a three-beam star (in the AMG version it has a special design). The matrix headlights can project images on the asphalt.
The interior trim combines leather and aluminum. Almost the entire front panel is covered by a large display divided into three sections.
The front seats are separated by a high central tunnel, and the rear sofa has an adjustable back angle. The trunk volume is 520-1675 litres.
Basic equipment includes 19-inch wheels, a rearview camera and a set of safety systems. Options include four-zone climate control and an audio system with three-dimensional sound.
