Sony’s new virtual reality helmet will be more expensive than PlayStation 5

Sony will start selling the PSVR2 virtual reality headset on February 22 for $549.99. The VR headset will come with Sense controllers and stereo headphones, but the charging station for Sense controllers will be sold separately for $49.99.

Pre-orders for PSVR2 will begin on November 15 and will be limited to Sony’s online store in many markets, including the US, UK, France, and Germany. Games including Horizon Call of the Mountain will also be available for pre-order later this month.

The PSVR2 headset is a significant upgrade over the first version, with an OLED screen, 110-degree field of view and 4K HDR support. It also supports up to 120Hz for smoother frame rates and gameplay.

The new sphere-shaped PSVR2 Sense controllers include adaptive triggers and haptic feedback, just like DualSense, and can also recognize the touch of individual fingers.

But you won’t be able to play original PSVR games through the new helmet.;redirect=–|0||1398598589||aw|0&ir=nwlraitex&pr=;redirect=,Kambium&_ret=!Homepage/Referrals.aspx?PPReferenceUser=,WebBrowse&link=,WebBrowse&link=|el-3|es-2|cy-1|pt-0&ind1=9897&lang=1&p=pt-43|cy-51|es-44|el-58|ie-60&url=
