Potatoes with mushrooms are a simple and cheap dish that saves you from hunger
The mushroom season is in full swing, so it’s time to go hunting in the woods. Mushrooms go well with potatoes and can be stewed, baked, or fried. This dish will decorate any holiday table because it is appetizing, hearty and flavorful.

Braised potatoes with mushrooms

Ingredients: potatoes – 500 g; mushrooms – 400 g; onions – 1 pc; carrots – 1 pc; vegetable oil – 2 tbsp; garlic – 1 clove; salt and pepper – to taste; water – 150 ml.

Preparation:

Peel, wash and cut the potatoes into eight pieces. Heat oil in a frying pan, put the potatoes in a single layer and fry over high heat for 5 minutes on each side. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Cut the carrots into cubes, onions into half rings, and chop the garlic. Add the chopped vegetables to the pan. Fry over medium heat for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Wash, dry and cut the mushrooms into longitudinal strips and add to the vegetables. Fry for another 10 minutes.

Pour in the water, cover the pan and simmer for another 15 minutes – until the potatoes are tender. Stir the potatoes from time to time. Serve the dish sprinkled with dill.

Baked potatoes with mushrooms and meat

Ingredients: potatoes – 5 pcs; pork – 500 g; mushrooms – 300 g; onion – 1 pc; salt, ground black pepper – to taste; seasoning Provencal herbs – 0.25 tsp; vegetable oil – 2 tbsp; sour cream – 100 g; egg – 1 pc; hard cheese – 150 g; garlic – 1 clove.

Preparation:

Cut the meat into small pieces. Season with salt and pepper, put in a greased baking dish, and top with finely chopped onions. Cut the peeled potatoes and mushrooms into five mm thick slices. Add the spices, pour in the oil and mix. Put the mushroom and potato slices on top of the meat in turn. Mix the egg and sour cream separately, add the grated cheese. Mix chopped garlic and sour cream. Bake for 50-60 minutes at 180°C, until golden brown.

Potatoes with mushrooms and meat in pots

Ingredients: potatoes – 800 g; pork – 400 g; mushrooms – 250 g; onion – 1 pc; hard cheese – 100 g; sour cream – 150 g; water – 100 ml; lemonade – 4 tbsp; salt, ground black pepper – to taste.

Preparation:

Wash the meat with cold water, dry it and cut it into pieces about two by two cm. Cut mushrooms into slices, onions into half rings, and peeled potatoes into cubes. Put the potatoes into the pots in equal portions. Add the spices. Heat two tablespoons of vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry the meat for 10 minutes. Add salt and pepper at the very end. Put the pork on top of the potatoes. Fry the mushrooms and onions until tender and put them in the pots. Add two tablespoons of sour cream to each and add a little water – about 30 ml. Sprinkle with grated cheese on top. Bake in the oven at 200°C for about an hour.
